Senior picture time is right around the corner, so now is a good time to think about what you want to wear! Here are a few tips to help you choose the most flattering clothes to wear in your Senior Portraits:
• Choose a variety of different outfits. It's a good idea to include both casual and more formal outfits in your senior portraits.
• Your face should be the focal point of your portraits. Long sleeve solids or very subtle prints are usually the most becoming in portraits.
• On dark backgrounds, medium to dark clothes look best.
• On light colored backgrounds, medium to light colors look the best.
• For outdoor portraits, earth tones work best.
• Try to avoid dressing overly trendy. Stick with traditional styles to keep your portrait from becoming “dated” too quickly.
• Don’t forget to bring shoes & socks for each outfit that you plan to wear, as some poses will show your shoes!
• Avoid busy patterns and loud colors as these can be very distracting in your portraits. Remember, large & bold patterns can draw attention away from your face.
